Four Square Quilt

I've been calling this one the Four Square Quilt.  It is made from a charm pack, a few fat quarters and some yardage of Simple Abundance from Bonnie and Camille for Moda.  You won't see me using red very often.  I am usually a pink girl, the brighter the better.  But I love this red, especially the binding fabric.  The brown is fantastic too.

The back is a pale yellow small print with four pinwheels along the edge.  I made use of every last bit of this fabric!

What excites me the most is branching out on the quilting.  This is my first straight line quilting project and it was really fun, and easy (with my walking foot).

I am getting certified on a Gammil longarm on Monday and I am so excited.  I can't wait to try something new and hoping that it won't be too challenging.  I'll let you know...

Beautiful quilt! Good luck with the longarm! I'm curious to hear how it goes--I'd love to do that sometime, too.

Very nice quilt - great finish!

How fun on the long arm - I haven't had a chance to try one out yet. I would probably love it and then be sad when I couldn't have my own :)
