It's raining Hexagons!

Ok, here in Minneapolis April was May and May has been, well, April.  Cool and rainy.  I've been doing a little of this and that.  But a lot of this...

Angela has been too...we have come to the same conclusions regarding putting these together.  We both like The card stock hexagons.  (Is it totally lazy to just link up to her post, since I feel the same way?!)
Tula Pink's Nest fabric...can you stand it????

I have not posted in a while; I've been enjoying a busy May, wonderful Mother's Day and some other sewing projects.  I'll post more photos and we'll get caught up this weekend!

If you are local come on over to the TC Suburban Modern Quilt Guild Sewing night!!  Tonight, 5-10 at Quilted Treasures in Rogers, MN!!!!

They look so perfect in Nest! Love them.

Thanks for the link - we'll be hexagon nuts together :) I just got a package from Paper Pieces with four hex sizes from 3/4" to 2" !

I couldn't email you....

exactly! and it kind of has a little ridge. I have been doing mattress stitch (called ladder stitch also I think). It's from my knitting days, and I use it to do binding as well now. Pretty much invisible, and the join is nice and soft. Only down side may be strength...haven't done a formal test, but if you pull hard, you can see light between them. For sure I would use this if you're going to sew your hexagons down to something. But if they were all along as a quilt....it would probably need to be quilted on the dense side for strength. I'll need to come up with a test for this though :)
